CT_Connect Error

“Connection error: CT_CONNECT(): network packet layer:internal net library error: specified server name attribute could not be found” when connecting to Sybase 10.

Check the SQL.ini file, usually found in the Sybase\INI directory. There should be a section for each server you are trying to connect to. For example, to connect to a server named SB10NW31, a line similar to the following must be in the SQL.ini file:

[SB10NW31]

bulletuery=NLWNSCK, sb10nw31,2025

You can run SQLEDIT.exe, usually found in the Sybase\Bin directory, to modify the SQL.ini file.
